Experienced Print Finisher required to join our team at Barnwell Print Ltd
Good rate of pay on double day shifts. Full time position offered, with training.
Primary Responsibilities
- Producing an excellent quality and quantity of products.
- Discussing the jobs to be run on the machine with the previous shift operator.
- Follow the production schedule and produce work in a timely manner.
- Managing crisis situations and offering colleagues appropriate support and advice.
- Regularly checking and maintaining of the machine and reports any untoward observations to avoid accident and damage.
- Keeping the workstation clean and tidy every after completion of each work task.
- Inspecting work in progress and finished materials to see that quality and quantity standards are compiled with.
- Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update operations and systems.
- Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
- Displaying good manner and experience on folding machines a bonus.
- Ensuring the daily production targets are achieved in right quality.
- Assisting the Production Manager in covering shift staff shortages
- Excellent eye for detail
- Self-motivated
- Good communication skills
The successful candidate will be: versatile, practical, mechanically minded, good communication skills, strong work ethic and able to work under pressure whilst paying attention to detail.
Experience finishers will ideally be able to work and maintain the following although in house training can be provided:-
- MBO Combination & Buckle Folding machines,
- Muller saddle stitcher
- Guillotine,
- Duplo Booklet maker,
- Heidelberg Cylinder die cutting & creasing
