Ever conscious of environmental issues, Barnwell Print’s responsible approach to the environment has seen a 90% reduction in the amount of waste sent to landfill – waste that is now recycled instead.
Since May 2018 Barnwell Print has been powered by electricity that is 100% generated from renewable sources also introducing energy saving lighting throughout the site. 2013 saw investment in a Bio-Mass heating system which combined has resulted in a 20 tonne reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
Balancing our unavoidable emissions for the period March 2012 to July 2021 as a Certified Carbon Balanced Printer and using Carbon Balanced Paper through the Carbon Balanced Paper scheme delivered through the World Land Trust. Barnwell Print has offset 2534 tonnes of carbon dioxide and preserved 172 Acres of critically threatened tropical forests. This is equivalent of 9,000,000 car miles neutralised.
